Statement by Public Advocate Gotbaum on today's verdict in the

Sean Bell Shooting

Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum said, "Sean Bell’s death was a terrible tragedy for all involved. No verdict could change the Bell family's devastating loss and my heart goes out to them during this very difficult time. But, we can not go back. We have to look forward and continue to work together to strengthen police-community relations."
