Public Advocate Gotbaum Calls for State Support of GENDA to Protect Memebers of the Transgendered Community
Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum today released the following letter to New York State Governor Elliot Spitzer, New York State Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, and New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, in support of the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA). Gotbaum urged the Legislature to pass S3753 and the companion bill A6584, as well as asking the Governor to sign the bill immediately.
