Advocate Gotbaum on Mayor Bloomberg's Attack
MANHATTAN
– Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum today released the following
statement in response to Mayor Bloomberg’s attack and continued
her call for the Administration to give parents and teachers a
voice in improving our schools:
"Mayor
Bloomberg is lashing out again because this third reorganization
is running into a wall of opposition from people who count: students,
teachers, administrators and parents. That's just the way he does
business. But that's not putting students first.
“Communities
have lost faith in this leadership. Mayor Bloomberg and Chancellor
Klein should take power back from the consultants and give parents
and teachers a voice in improving our schools.”
