Public Advocate Gotbaum on DOE Progress Reports

Public Advocate Gotbaum said, "The grading system is causing confusion and concern. For example, schools where many students have not passed a standardized test are receiving A's and B's. The administration claims that with these report cards, ‘parents no longer have to navigate a maze of statistics,' but the truth is that parents can't rely on these progress reports to help them identify good schools. And, of course, as always, they have left out district 75 schools."
