Public Advocate Gotbaum on the Jena Six
Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum said, "The treatment of these young men is a terrible reminder that racism remains a challenge that we all must confront. Around the country, from individual instances of prejudice to the institutional discrimination we've witnessed in Louisiana, we can find evidence that America must still fight to ensure that justice is blind and free from the corrosion of racial bigotry. We should all stand with these six individuals and begin to affect this much needed change."
