Accessibility
for the Disabled
If you have a question or need information about pedestrian ramps,
call the Department of Transportation.
Dial 311

The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities is responsible
for developing City policies regarding people with disabilities,
reviewing building plans to ensure accessibility, overseeing compliance
with disabilities laws, and advocating for people with disabilities.
The Legal Unit of the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities
helps individuals understand their rights. Every City agency must
name an ADA coordinator, who should be able to assist you in getting
access to services. For example, if you need the services of a
sign language interpreter, the Mayor's Office can provide you
with that information.
