The New York City Independent Budget Office (IBO) is a publicly funded agency established in 1996 to enhance official and public understanding of the largest municipal budget in the country. The agency's principal clients are members and committees of the City Council, the Borough Presidents, the Public Advocate, the Comptroller, and the City's 59 Community Boards. Other important constituencies for IBO's work include the public, the media, and civic and community organizations -- and you!
