Crime and abuse are tragic realities that some seniors must face. If you are a crime or elder abuse survivor, there are several places to go for help. The NYC Department for the Aging provides counseling, referrals and services for senior victims of crime or abuse.

Red Cross Emergency Help Unit's Victim Desk
The Red Cross Emergency Help Unit's Victim Desk provides extensive services for seniors in need -- everything from referrals and counseling to finding a place for abuse victims to stay.

7 days a week, 24 hours a day

Victim Services Elder Abuse Hotline

Victim Services has a special Elder Abuse Hotline that can also make referrals and offer advice and counseling.
