Complaints About Smoking
in Public Places
New York City has some
of the toughest clean indoor air rules in the country. Smoking
is prohibited in restaurants, bars and other establishments. To
file a smoking related complaint, click
here or call 311.

Is your home or a nearby lot infested with rats or ticks? Have you recently been grossed out by unclean or unhealthy conditions in a restaurant, health club, pet shop, swimming pool or other public facility? Are people smoking where they shouldn't be -- at the next table, in the cubicle next to you, etc.? Report it to the Department of Health's Bureau of Central Complaints and Information. Give the name and location of the facility and the date and time you were there.
