Transportation for the Disabled
Access-A-Ride is the paratransit program operated by MTA New York City Transit for persons unable to use mass transit. It is a shared ride, origin to destination service, established under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Rides are $1.50 each way or half-fare for seniors -- the same fare as a subway or bus ride. Note that you call one number to order service and a different number if you want to file a complaint about the service.
