Transportation for the Elderly

How to get reduced fares on buses and subways.



MTA & DOT Reduced Fare Program
People with disabilities are eligible for reduced fares on MTA New York City Transit buses and subways and on Department of Transportation buses. You must present a Medicare card or a Reduced Fare ID card, which you must get from the MTA Reduced-Fare Program.
