Walking on Water

Although it's easy to forget, much of New York City is surrounded by water. A number of ferries, both public and private, offer an agreeable way to get from place to place.

NY Waterway

For schedules and fares for ferries between New Jersey and New York, call NY Waterway.

Staten Island Ferry

The Staten Island Ferry travels between Whitehall Street/South Ferry in Manhattan and St. George, Staten Island. The trip is free in both directions -- not a bad deal considering the view of the Statue of Liberty and the New York City skyline. Call for schedule information.
